The Pyke Syndicate, commonly referred to as the Pykes, was a notorious spice-running cartel who conducted their heinous illicit operations from their headquarters on Oba Diah. By the time of the New Republic, the crime family had slowly but surely engulfed Tatooine initially in secret and later in open into their sphere of influence, having been beforehand promised its territories by the duplicitous Mayor Mok Shaiz.
