The Galactic Empire, shortened to just the Empire, was an interstellar galaxy wide empire.

History[]

In response to the Mandalorians' refusal to submit to its reign, the Galactic Empire initiated what became known as the Great Purge. In the event's aftermath, the Empire claimed large quantities of beskar.

In the end, the Alliance to Restore the Republic's swift victories and the loss of leadership crippled the Galactic Empire to the point of fragmentation. Still, despite the emergence of the New Republic as a proper government, some continued the fight or sought other ways to return to power through the Imperial holdouts.

Organizations[]

The Imperial Security Bureau was the principal intelligence agency of the Galactic Empire. Gideon had been employed by the agency as one of its operatives.

The Imperial Starfleet was the naval branch of the Galactic Empire. Mitth'raw'nuruodo had served as one of its Grand Admirals, while Morgan Elsbeth had played an important role in the massive navy's construction.
