The Book of Boba Fett, also known as Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, is a Star Wars live-action streaming series. It consists of seven episodes, and debuted with "Chapter 1: Stranger in a Strange Land" on December 29, 2021 on Disney+, and concluded with "Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor on February 9, 2022.

Premise[]

The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy's underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

Development[]

On December 18, 2020, The Book of Boba Fett and its December 2021 release date were announced through the post-credits scene of "Chapter 16: The Rescue", the second season finale of The Mandalorian, though the series had already started filming.^[1]

Filming wrapped up by the start of June 2021,^[2] and on September 29, 2021, Disney+ debuted teaser art for the series and announced it will premiere on December 29, 2021.

On November 1, 2021, an official trailer and poster were released.

Release[]

The first episode of The Book of Boba Fett was released on December 29, 2021 on Disney+. It concluded with the release of the seventh and final episode on February 9, 2022.
